Welcome to the new Acdemic Year

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you’ve had a restful and fun filled summer break.

The school re-opens on Saturday, 8th September 2012 at 10.00 a.m. Please come to the school hall for registration and assembly.

So as to make registration quick and easy, we would be grateful if the NEW style registration form is completed and returned at registration.

Payment will be made easier due to the introduction of payments by Standing Order. If you wish to pay by this method please see Christa Savvides or Niki Pieri, the Treasurers, on the first day of term. You will be required to pay 30% of the fees on the first day of term and then 7 equal instalments commencing on 1st October 2012 and ending on 1st April 2013. Standing Order forms are also attached to this email.

The fees are payable in advance and are payable in either two instalments – September 2012 and January 2013 or by Standing Order.

On the form there is a question regarding origins. The Head Teacher requests that parents advise which town/village of Cyprus or Greece your family originated from.

Copies of all forms can be found on the school website: http://queenswellgreekschool.co.uk/

The school runs compulsory sessions from Years 4, 5, 6, GCSE, AS-level and A-level classes. The first Friday session is 14th September (from 6.10 – 7.50 pm) – children are to be collected from the Challoner Building and not from the car park or in Woodside Lane. There are also classes on Fridays for children in Years 2 and 3, which are not compulsory; there is an additional cost to parents of £130 per year per child. Please see enclosed fees structure for the academic year 2012-2013.

After registration, children should assemble in their previous class in the hall where they will be introduced to their new teacher. Any child(ren) new to the school should remain in the school hall where the Head Teacher will assign them to the appropriate class.

The school has a number of children who suffer from nut allergies, for the welfare of these children with nut allergies who attend the school I would like to ask, that whenever possible, food containing nuts or nuts should be not be brought into the school. If your child has any other medical condition that requires a Health Plan please attach a copy of it to the registration form with a photograph of your child.

I will look forward to seeing you all on Saturday 8th September at 10.00 a.m.

Yours sincerely,

Marina Constantinou
